Next Level of fashion logistics

In 2014, ASOS and Ingram Micro Commerce & Lifecycle Services began working together. The operation started small with a shared facility, and 5 years later has scaled into a warehouse with an 80,000 m² footprint, thousands of employees to receive inventory and ship orders and, with Ingram Micro’s help, deploy millions of items each week to their customers.

Their impressive growth is matched by their impressive facility outside of Berlin in Großbeeren, Germany. The vast site is almost fully automated with state-of-the-art technology that includes automated inbound processing, automated storage and retrieval (OSR), goods-to-person stations, pocket sorters, induct stations, an additional parcel sorter, a dynamic buffer, and an extensive network of conveyors.

In working with Ingram Micro, ASOS has not only found a partner capable of handling their growth curve, but has also found their business values and priorities matched.

Interesting Facts
  • The partnership began in 2014 and included the use of a small shared warehouse space and a team of seven associates.
  • Today, ASOS inventory has grown 7x and includes ~22 million SKUs.
